MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT
BRIEF
Cam To Me Onlus and New Humanity are two Italian NGOs working in Cambodia since 1996. Their projects address some of the most striking problems in today’s Cambodia: poverty, disability and lack of education, using only local operators. Their need was to show in an emotional and effective way their efforts, their results and the context of their projects, both for promotional and fundraising purposes.
OUR SOLUTION
We organised on on-site photo reportage in Cambodia. By working and living shoulder-to-shoulder with local operators Stefania Boiano, our co-founder and photographer, was able to portray the everyday reality of Cambodia, the difficult conditions and touching courage of the people involved both as operators and recipients of the projects. All photos were later released in digital format to Cam To Me Onlus and New Humanity to be used in their print and online communication.
The second part of the project was a photo exhibition with a selection of 20 of the best shots taken from the photo reportage and printed in high-quality prints A3-format, with captions about the social and environmental context of Cambodia. The aim of the exhibition was fundraising to support the NGO’s projects and create awareness on the social problems of Cambodia.
SUCCESS
The photo exhibition, shown at the Cultural Centre Art in the City in November 2014, got very positive feedback and was later selected to be shown in June 2015 at EXPOVillage, the private quarters where Milan 2015 EXPO Delegates live. The exhibition tour went on in July 2015 with a showing in the Milan Private Hospital “Columbus“ and in October 2015 at the PIME Museum in Milan. The real success anyway were the funds raised during the exhibitions, which meant a real and concrete help for Cambodian people.
.
Thanks again for your work. The funds raised thanks to the exhibitions are a precious present for those populations we are sustaining.
